For safe, streak-free compound and polish removal, choose a plush microfibre cloth (350–500gsm) with a soft, edgeless finish. The thick fibres lift compound residue and polish dust from the surface instead of dragging it across the paint, reducing the risk of smearing and micro-marring.
A 350–400gsm cloth is ideal for most polish wipe-off, while a higher GSM option works best for heavier compound residue.
