ADBL Defoamer is an anti-foam additive for the waste water tank of upholstery and carpet extractors. Shampoos and pre-sprays foam up as you extract, and that foam builds up fast in the recovery tank. It cuts your working time short, can trip the float shut-off, and risks pulling moisture towards the motor. A small dose of Defoamer knocks the foam down so you can keep extracting without stopping to empty a tank that is mostly bubbles.
Signs you need a defoamer
- The recovery tank fills with foam long before it fills with water
- The extractor loses suction or shuts off mid-job
- Foam is escaping from the tank or exhaust
- You are emptying the tank far more often than the amount of dirty water justifies
